Setting up your vendor profile
Your vendor profile is how The Middleman's AI gets to know your business. It's also how planners and clients discover you through The Bridge — our AI-powered vendor matching network.
The more complete your profile, the better your recommendations and the more qualified your inbound matches.
Core profile information
Business name This is how you appear in search results and vendor briefs. Use your full DBA name.
Category Select all categories that apply: Caterer, Event Planner, Venue, Floral, Photography, Entertainment, Rental Company, Production Company, or Other.
Service area List the cities and metro areas you serve. Be specific — "San Francisco Bay Area" is more useful than "California."
Capacity range What's the smallest and largest event you can comfortably execute? This helps the AI match you with appropriate opportunities.
Event types Check all that apply: Corporate, Wedding, Social, Fundraiser, Product Launch, Private Dining, Festival, Other.
Style descriptors Choose 3-5 words that describe your aesthetic: Modern, Classic, Rustic, Minimalist, Elevated, Casual, Luxury, Farm-to-Table, etc. The AI uses these for style matching.
Portfolio and credentials
Portfolio photos Upload 6-12 photos from recent events. These appear on your profile and help The Bridge match you with clients who respond to your visual style.
Awards and recognitions List industry certifications, awards, or press mentions. These build trust with prospective clients.
Working relationships List vendors you frequently work with. The Bridge network gets stronger the more working relationships are mapped — if you always work with the same rental company, connecting that relationship in the platform improves both of your recommendation scores.
Response settings
Response time goal Set your expected response time for new inquiries: Under 1 hour, Same day, or Within 48 hours. This appears on your profile.
Booking lead time How far in advance do you typically need to be booked? This helps the AI surface you for appropriate timelines.
Profile completeness score
You'll see a profile completeness score in your dashboard. Aim for 85% or higher — profiles above 85% complete receive 3× more Bridge matches than incomplete profiles.
